Error when opening any Office programme

Jun 30, 2009 2:03AM PDT

Whenever I open Word or Excel I am now always getting the following error message:

"Microsoft Forms

Could not load an object because it's not available on this machine."

If I click OK twice then it seems to work fine, but its a bit annoying popping up every time I open Word or Excel. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

- Powerpoint and Outlook also? Or just some Office programs?
- Did you already do a repair install of Office?
- Create a new Windows account. Does it happen there also?
- What happens if you run Word in socalled safe mode (winword -safe from the command prompt)?

Problem solved

Many thanks for the help. It was a problem with every program in Office 2007. But after reading your advice I ran the "Microsoft Office Diagnostics" and it picked up on one problem and repaired it. Now Office opens without any trouble.
