There are some spurious spaces in the error message you quote.

Anyway, something is needed that isn't contained in your Windows 98 installation. It came only with Windows 2000 and later.

Your options:
- conclude the AV-program isn't compatible with Windows 98, return it, get your money back and find another one instead (good free ones are free avg, avast! and antivir)
- ask the makers for help and support (if they state Windows 98 is supported)
- try: download shfolder.dll from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=6AE02498-07E9-48F1-A5D6-DBFA18D37E0F. The dll should be placed in c:\windows\system, and possibly must be registered with regsvr32.exe (like this: http://www.ss64.com/nt/regsvr32.html)

Hope this helps.

In addition to the program not being compatible with Win98 (a possibility) the download may have been corrupted. If you are sure that the program will work with Win98, try re-downloading it. Did you get a product activation key? Did you get some kind of e-reciept for the purchase? If nothing works, try and get your money back, and look for a free AV. There are a number of good programs available and a lot of companies, in the good interest of public safety, are offering free antivirus programs.
