They have temporarily disabled their servers for maintenance. It's nothing wrong with your television.

Official Samsung notice:

To all Samsung Smart Hub users,

On Tuesday, July 2nd, the Smart Hub service will be down temporarily for scheduled maintenance. The service is scheduled to be down between 12:00 AM EST and 10:00 AM EST. We expect normal operation to resume after this time.

If Smart Hub is launched between 12:00 AM EST and 10:00 AM EST, you will receive an on-screen popup message informing you of the outage, however some users may not see a message at all, and will not be able to access Smart Hub. Rest assured, this is still part of the scheduled maintenance outage, and we expect all users to have functionality restored after 10:00 AM EST.

We thank you for your patience during this upgrade.

I purchased a new "smart" TV from Samsung a month ago (Nov 13) It worked great for a little over a week, then the message "network is not connected" error model bind message appeared and the apps did not work. I spoke with several Samsung associates over a period of several days (about 4 hours worth). They agreed that the TV was accessing the internet as it was updating its firmware. Finally a rep told me that it was probably the TV.
Two weeks later, my wife was watching and a message came up reporting that the smart hub had been updated, and now all apps work. The problem was with Samsung servers.
Searching the internet, I see that this problem has been going on for years. When will Samsung really fix it, and should we all be returning our TV's while we can and get a lower cost TV and add Roku?

And there is some pushback from the programmers and apparently management to stop using "programmer error messages" like Error Model Bind. As long as they dig in their heels and not listen to the customer I don't think they can fix this.
