Error Message when Trying to Load Programs from Disc,

I get the error code 1311 File not found,I have asked Norton and Several other Companies Regarding this problem and have been told that my new Windows XP on a New PC,the Windows Installer is Corrupt or partially missing.This PC was Built by a Programmer and Setup with Windows XP Home edition 2003 and Windows XP Office Pro. with Publisher 2002 version then while loading Norton this error message popped open it also did not complete the publisher,Executive Software Diskeeper,and Several other programs.How do I Repair the Windows installer?

Thanks for the response, this deals with installing it from the CD. I already copied all the files to my HD and that's where I'm getting the error message...

If all the files are on the hard drive (exact copy of the original CD), you should burn them back onto another CD if the original is not available..
Only one copy of the program can be used on the same network at the same time, unless it is a multiple users edition.
I believe that office 2003 also will not run on systems older than XP

i also am getting error messages! when trying to upload sp2! it wont load! i get files missing or corrupt etc. why? this pc is using xp home. and is a legit copy! i am running nvidia geforce5700 with 256mb! i also have gotten message saying my nvidia drivers are not certified.
