Error message when accessing my calendar or address book

I occassionally get this message: TITLE = Can't run 16-bit Windows program.
THen below this a yellow triangle with ! mark and saying "Insufficient memory to run this application. Quit one or more Windows applications and then try again" Only choice you have here is box with OK.
I use VIsta Home and have Dell Inspiration 4700. This message only appears when I try to open my calender or address book. This software is called Desk Top Set. I do not have tons of stuff running only my phone answering program, outlook express, and perhaps around 8 internet explorers. At this point if I do not shut computer down and restart I can't access either the calendar or address book.
