Error message trying to download AVG

I have been trying to download AVG 2011 anti-virus program and get error messages like this: C:\DOCUME~1\OWNER\LOCALS~1\Temp\xGh11+Gs.exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. I get the same type of message when I tried to get another free anti-virus as well. I have Windows XP and use Firefox. Can anyone tell me what's going on and what I should do?
Thanks
