Error Message OE 6.0

Jun 13, 2004 2:26AM PDT

I am running Win-Xp HE OS using IE 6.0 and OE 6.0 as my browser/e-mail client. When I click on some e-mail messages received, I get the following Error Message:

Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 31
Char. 1
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL: mhtml,mid://00000010/
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

What is my problem and how do I correct it?

Thanks,
Ray Savage

This is a BAD sign. Malicious emails try to SCRIPT their way onto your computer and cause damage. Such emails should be considered dangerous, never to be viewed, opened or PREVIEWED. Be sure to turn off the PREVIEW so you can delete them safely.

http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBO/tip7100/rh7165.htm also details how to turn the error message off.

"Don't know what we'd do without someone like you to advise us!"

Thanks! I do know what happens. Many would have ended up formatting and reinstalling the OS and then such happening again (and again.) My hope is that what little advice that I hand out (that works) will be shared by those who found it to fix their issues.

The shop still sees far too much parasite related damage and still many Kazaa'd machines. What can you do other than take the "No parasites for me!" stance?
