"Tip: If you are asking for help to troubleshoot a computer-related problem, please be sure to include all the necessary information (ie: operating system, model number, hardware, software, etc) that will help others identify your problem for a speedy resolution."

In short, Kernel32 errors don't mean much other that Windows has a problem and that's that. Nothing much can be discerned and nothing offered because that's a generic error.

Without more clues such as camera software version which may not be for Windows ME (there are some that aren't) or long details about the machine, help will not be very specific.

Let me start by noting that many digital cameras will connect to the USB port and many machines never used this port until someone bought the camera. Errors like yours are the norm. So you get to find the motherboard drivers for the machine, update the BIOS, enable USB, consult http://www.usbman.com and more.

But instead, read the Tip that shows up with every new post and consider thinking if you are supplying enough information for people to comment on the issue.

In closing, a call to the camera maker's support is a good thing. Sometimes the one-on-one finds the issue or they send out a new CD.

Best of luck,

Bob
