Error in windows xp professional

Whenever I start my computer after i login i get this error message saying "Please go to the control panel to install and configure system components". Everything else works fine after I press okay. Is there a way to fix it. Please reply. Thanks.

it basically wants you to reinstall Windows XP. you should be able to just reinstall following the instructions that came with your computer. this should be a "repair" install.
