"You can also minimize the disk space required on the drive volume where Windows is installed by customizing Office Setup to not install Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0. To avoid upgrading to Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 when you install Office, follow these steps:
1. Start the installation program for Microsoft Office 2000.
2. Click Customize in the Microsoft Office 2000: Ready to Install dialog box.
3. Click Next in the Installation Location dialog box.
4. In the Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 Upgrade dialog box, click to select Do Not Upgrade Microsoft Internet Explorer.
NOTE: If you do not see Do Not Upgrade Microsoft Internet Explorer, click Windows Web Browsing Component Only.
5. Continue with Setup, selecting the options that you want."
