Error code-08x000ffff/ Windows7

Jun 2, 2010 2:02AM PDT

I was installing Microsoft's Student/Home-2007 just before the installing finished, the computer did an auto restart. Now it wont boot-up.
I have tried 'safe mode' and its variations, go to a previous restore point,,,etc. Any idea what can I try next, short of re-installing Windows7 ?.

You see the error message when you are installing Microsoft Office 2007? Or, when you are installing Windows 7?

Thanks,
Cassandra

Thanks for all replies I will try all suggestions.
I actually got the error code when I was doing the system restore.
My main problem is being able to get into the system to do an uninstall of Microsoft Home/Student-2007, my PC restarted before the installation was finished.
