check me out , but I don't see the RAM matching the MB..
Hello everyone i hope some of you can help me.
Weeks ago my pc started to give problems; it boots but the screen stays black and after a few seconds it gives 5 short beeps (supposed to be a cpu error);
i tried to boot with just 1 ram slot, switching ram, boot with no gpu, change thermal paste but the problem stayed the same;
the parts are:
ASRock 970 extreme 3
AMD fx 8320
Sapphire radeon rx 480 8gb nitro+
ram corsair vengeance 1600 2x8
thermaltake paris 650w
raijintek themis
i posted online and asked some friends, the common answer was that it probably is a mobo problem; so i decided to upgrade (i was already thinking to do it) and bought
asus prime b-350m-k
ryzen 5 1600
2x8gb gskill aegis k2 3000mhz
still can't use the pc as now i get 1 long beep-3 short beeps-pause-1short beep (gpu error?). The mobo arrived with bios already updated and ram is in qvl list.
CPU fan and GPU led work (gpu fans don't but i think they're not supposed to at low loads). Another led, on the mobo (right under the gpu), stays on with power plugged and when i boot it starts to blink every few seconds.
I dont really want to go to a tech professional as they can be really pricey; is there something i can try? thanks in advance to whoever will decide to answer.
