Error 1068, TCP/IP BIOS

Oct 24, 2004 12:12AM PDT

I have deleted a TCP/IP exe. in C:\Windows\Systems32 when I got an alert of IRC trojan.
Finally I have scanned and cleaned the system. Ever since my two computers cannot share files. When I use the command ping /all, the NetBIOS TCP/IP is disabled. I try to restart the service and I get Error 1068, the service cannot be started. I think it is because that I have deleted the above program. My question is how can I install this particular service.
I am using WinXP home edition and have got the installation CD.

Thank you for your advice. I have reconfigured my lan manuelly. I can share my internet connection and the two computers can see one and other. But I am denied access to the shared files. I read somewhere it is important to have the NetBIOS enabled to share files . I just cannot start the service in spite of the fact that I have it checked in the configuration of the local network. I think I need to have the program copy back to the WinSystem32 file.

I have verify with the following information taken from http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBO/tip7400/rh7427.htm
An error occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled. The dependency service or group failed to start.
1068: Dependency service or group failed to start.
To workaround this behavior:
1. Start / Run / MSConfig / OK.
2. Select the Services tab.
3. Make sure that each of the following services is checked:
Application Layer Gateway Service
Network Connections
Network Location Awareness (NLA)
Plug and Play
Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
Remote Access Connection Manager
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Telephony
4. Press Apply.
5. Press Close.
6. Press the Restart button.
7. After the restart, rerun the ICS Wizard.
NOTE: If you continue to experience this problem, verify that these services have not been disabled for the hardware profile you are using:
1. Start / Run / Services.msc / OK.
2. Double-click a service.
3. Select the Log on tab.
4. If the service is disabled in this hardware profile, press Enable.
5. Select the General tab.
6. Set the Startup type to Automatic.
7. Press Apply and OK.
8. Shutdown and restart your computer.
9. After the restart, rerun the ICS Wizard.

Only that I don't can't have select the Log on tab and I just cannot restart the service, always the same error message.
