Hi All,
Recently I upgraded my pc, and having problems.
Motherboard - Intel D865PERL
Processor - Intel 3 E GHZ HT
Graphic Card - PNY Nvedia GeForce FX 5500 128MB AGP 8X
Ram - CORSAIR DDRAM 512MB|64X64 VS DDR400 PC3200
OS - Windows XP Professional
Motherboard and Ram are 1 year old, upgraded Processor and Graphic Card.
When I try to update bios or driver using Intel Motherboard original CD, it gives me error
- Internal Error
- Error # 0x80040707
- ebiossup.dll
Any idea, what could be the problem ?
I am really stuck with this problem, trying to resolve since last 3-4 days but not able to.
I really appreciate your help.
Thanks

Thanks.
I tried but still same problem.
Is it windows problem or Hardware problem ?
I am afraid that is it anything to do with XP Professional SP 2 ?
I really appreciate your help.
Jonty
Since you are running the newer Windows based BIOS updater, then it can be a Windows problem. Look around to see if they offer a DOS based updater.

Did you buy your PC instead of building it? If you try to put an Intel BIOS on a Dell or Gateway it will not work. But that doesn't seem to be it. It does seem to be a Windows error however.
If worst comes to worst, and you can't fix it, here are some new motherboards:
