For those who have implemented an ERP / CRM solution. May I ask what you have used and what are the problems that you may have faced? How big is this problem to you?

My company runs the international SAP ERP/CRM/BW environment (where the hardware and the SAP infrastructure is managed by a third-party company) together with some added software like another datawarehouse and a mail solution with some 15 IT-people , not counting the key-users and UAT testers.

But maybe your company is somewhat smaller?

I believe that Sage 300 ERP is appropriate for a wide variety of companies looking for a system to maintain information in a concise manner. The level of complexity with which it is used is determined by the user group. Therefore, this product is great for companies that are just starting to grow right through to more mature companies looking for detailed data and analytics from their systems.

Sage 300 ERP Pros

Revenue Recognition - Allows us to recognize revenue on software sales when it is earned rather than when it is received.
Dashboards - Allows us to see how the business is doing anytime we want in real time
Remote Access - web based so we can access software from smart phones and laptops and are not in the office. Can get info when we need it.
Reporting - Excellent reporting capabilities both financial, management and adhoc capabilities, allows reporting with other non-Sage 300 databases as well
CRM - allows sales and accounting and sales and production to communicate easier and we have better monitoring of sales, marketing and customer service activities

Sage 300 ERP Cons
• Sage needs more of it functionality to be web based so all features can be accessed remotely
• Some of the interface is like little old school
