It sounds like the laptop needs repair. It's pretty sure you won't be doing this since how to open the laptop is all over the internet and beyond that, you may need to take courses in repair. I see folk want to do this and end up with a really dead laptop.

About 6 months ago, I dropped my Ergo Netbook on CARPET from a bout 4 feet up(And no I wasn't testing)! When I tried to turn it on the next day, it was difficult! I had to hit the start button and really press hard on it! In addition, there used to be a blue LED(I think) light, but that no longer showed up! I understand I have messed up the power button as the battery pack is not damaged and still charges! Till this day, I still struggle to turn it on! I even sometimes use a screwdriver to make sure the button comes in contact with something to allow the computer to turn on! It does come on and works fine but the computer won't allow me to just press the power button and come on! I think I may need to open the computer and move something, but I'm not sure! PLEASE HELP!
Thanks, Josh M
