Epson Surecolor P600 printer problem

by MikeinFrance / February 24, 2016 6:00 AM PST

I have a problem with my Epson Surecolor P600 printer. Epson support are blaming my MAC! I want to print a panorama on roll paper but the printer scales down the image to A3. I am an experienced user of Epson printers, custom sizes are set, no scaling is set. Is it possible that the mac is causing the issue?

thanks

Mike

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), Photoshop CS4

Well I have to sort of agree.

Roll printing is tough today. Not all printer makers support it so I have no good news.

Epson state that the printer will make a 1.1 metre banner on roll paper from a Mac. They claim 3 metres from a Windows PC so suspect that the Epson Mac driver is a kludge as I am not aware of any limitations set by OSX.

And that claim was for what year and OS version?

As time passes you find these things break. If you find it's for the current OS X then you have a fine reason to get a refund and go for another model.

This has been ongoing for four months so both Yosemite and El Capitan. Epson "support" have had me trying all sorts of versions of the driver, none work. Might try to get my money back and buy a Canon!

Never worked is your ticket to a refund.

If you had a supported OS X, drivers for same and apps they told you should work, you're done.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
