It was only because I had many ink cartridges already that I bought a 2nd Epson 3810. The first one just died after less than 4 months, the 2nd one lasted less than 3 months.
The quality if pitiful, even just in text printing. They have to be the slowest printer ever made, even in just black text mode. They crash at last 25% of the time, requiring repeatedly turning the printer on and off. This second one crashed after the paper jammed (ordinary printer paper). After removing the jam-up, it just won't work.
Lesson learned. I'll toss all the ink cartridges (lost $$ on that too), and buy a Canon. Don't care for HP products.
Epson use to make quality printers, but now they are just so much costly trash. Slow. Unreliable. A life span measured in weeks - when it works. I imagine they are made in China, though the quality is low even by Chinese standards.
Don't buy Epson printers. They are junk. They used to be good. I am hoping that Canon printers still are.
