Epson Card Monitor problem

by J. Daniels / October 26, 2004 10:27 AM PDT

My system is Windows 98SE. I have a CX6400 Epson multifunction printer-scanner. The Card Monitor function interferes with other functions on my computer. For example, usually when I try to open my email server, AOL 9.0, it will often lock up the entire computer. I get a message that the Card Monitor is the problem. Usually I can click "end program" and close the computer. Sometimes it locks up so that I have to switch off the computer. The card monitor icon is in the task bar at bottom right along with other program icons. If when I first start my computer, I right click the Card Monitor and click "Quit" or "Turn off Monitor," then everything works as it should. Can you help?
