I got one of the weekend invite codes, and tried watching a 720P movie on my pc via a Time Warner Cable connection (Star Trek Generations). I had the streaming settings set for maximum bitrate, which as over 4mb/sec. I also used the "pop-out" player that works outside of the web browser, so as not to be encumbered by that (Note: I tried using the default settings as well, such as variable stream rate and inside the browser).
While I found the video looked very nice, it still didn't have the frame rate so as to be acceptable. Audio was fine. I exited out of every program/process that I didn't need running.
There were just too many slight pauses in the video to make it very noticeable...and annoying. Maybe with twice the bandwidth it would have been ok?
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
