Turn those mikes down - did I hear them ordering bacon pizza in the background?

yeah it just seems like their mics weren't muted or recording didn't stop as normal when the voicemail is played. For example, there are other BOL podcasts where the voicemail is left out entirely and all you get is a brief pause and then the reactions of the hosts.
Anyway... this raises a question though. ONe of the voicemails about the slingbox thing was hard to hear with the convo going on and it was like tom wasn't paying attention to the voicemail. (i'd like to think that he listend to it previously). and then on the other side of the voicemail, tom REALLY seemed like he didn't pay attention because he said he needed more information about what the guy was saying.
I hope you guys pay attention to the voicemails.
I would say nazi(s). I tend to be one myself.
I have never heard of "mike" being acceptable, but dictionary.com agrees with you, so I'll buy it.
I just learned something today, hurray for me!

In a car forum that I used to visit, we had a guy who would always correct spelling errors and grammar mistakes.
So I photoshopped his car, which was black, colored the door white, and added a sheriff's logo... quite funny, actually.
i left the mics on while i was recording the voicemails from the phone system. so we had already heard it. which is why we were talking.
the weird thing is, we made it a point to go back and listen to see if we said anything while we were recording it in! guess we didn't listen hard enough, or the monitors in the studio are shot! oops!

Here we all are, with our high-tech devices and whole geekdom thing goin' on... and what strikes a chord? The human side of things! The fact that something slipped your mind, that it wasn't all polished up just right. Some might call it human error, but I love it. It just keeps it all real, you know?
Keep up the great work, guys. Love the show.. er I mean podcast.
