Entry level Camcoders

Heyy guys..I am planning to buy a Mini Dv SD Camcoder..and i have narrowed down my choice to these 2 camcoders i.e. Sony DCR SC 53 and Cannon MD 245( as i m from india..WD models are not available here)..well both of them are having kind of same features..but I am really confused about the difference in their picture quality as Cannon is having a resolution of 1.07 MP as compared to 0.8 MP in Sony..and i have heard from somewhere that the accessories of Sony are very costly as compared to Cannon..So guys help me out in finding out which Camcoder to buy as i m really very confused from the last one week..Thanks in anticipation..
