Q.I've got Microsoft's Security essentials+ the Windows Firewall. Is that enough to protect my pc? If not, what else would you recommend?

What you have is pretty much all you need unless you visit the dark side of the WWW or worse got kids. Happy You also have the basics and that's all well and good. If you experiencing good results now, you needn't worry. I can only suggest if you decide to leave McAfee look at the freebie versions of Avast or AVG.

Thinking....MC AFEE ANTIVIRUS+ADAWARE ANTISPYWARE+MSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS......might be a toxic mix of over lapping protection......meaning they might fight with each other.

Start/control panel/action center/security.

Got more than one item listed for AV or Spyware?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
