Maybe the energy star rating is something they can include in the CNET reviews. I can't promise you anything, but I will forward your feedback to the CNET Appliances editors.
Just want to make a comment... I am disappointed to see that in the refrigerator buyers' guide there is no mention of the advantages and disadvantages of various styles and types in terms of how much energy they use. I believe this should be a primary concern of anyone purchasing an appliance that can be the largest energy consumer in the house.
There is no way to search by Energy Star ratings, and, as far as I can see, no mention of energy use at all. Furthermore, the way that top-mount freezer styles are described is basically that if you don't really care about style, and aren't looking for anything fancy, you should maybe consider one. In fact, these are the most energy-efficient design, something which receives no mention.
At this point in the planet's development, everyone should be considering these things, and a buyers' guide that makes no mention of them is irresponsible.
