The following isa description of the info.
The document "/users/macbook/library mail downloads/gea--wintertijd.pps" is encrypted. Please save unencrypted first. (wintertijd) is a for winter time so the picture presentation will be of different parts of Holland done pp.

.pps is Microsoft's Power Point presentation. You will need Open Office or another "Office" type software package to open it. Pages will not open it, and that is why you are getting asked what program will open it.

Another way of viewing those .pps files

is to Right Click the attachment and Choose "Quick Look Attachment" from the options that are presented.

However, if these files are truly encrypted, which I doubt they are, you will not be able to open them without specialized third party software and the decryption key.

Pictures, like the ones that end in .jpg, will open using iPhoto or Preview. You have both these applications on your Mac.

Age has nothing to do with using your Mac. Do not assume that everyone on these forums are younger than you are.
