ENCODING setting. using IE9

Aug 21, 2011 12:44PM PDT

I was doing a little surfing for learning and was checking the drop list when r-clicking any area of the home page. Encoding is one item in the list. I noticed that mine was set at Unicode (UTF-Cool them below that item in list is more. then personal choices of left to right doc. and right to left. I thought western European (windows) would be the right choice for setting that? Which one is right.
