ENABLEING DEFRAGMENT

I HAVE A COMPAQ PRESARIO 5000US,WINDOWS ME. MY PC SAYS THAT THE DEFRAGMENT IS DISABLED.HOW DO I ENABLE IT SO I CAN DEFRAGMENT MY SYSTEM?

I have a Tiny Computer Windows Me. and every time I try to defragment the hard disc the screen just freezes and the mouse ceases to function.can anyone please help me with this problem

Try that first and then if it fails, supply the full details such as machine age, how long its been since you cleaned the heatsinks and more.

I have a "Runner error" message
(Logitech Desktop Messenger.exe) lacks a '-'(the app id Separaator)
Thus, I cannot run defragmentation

Spyware or that Backweb agent. It will interfere with defrag so you use my reply and post as well as eject all Spyware.
