Emails Sent to Me from CNET being Blocked

I put the check mark where says "Track this discussion", but the email
comments from CNET helpers are being blocked. Any solution?

I think that has to do with allowing a member to mail another member.

Not much to do with track this discussion and mail.

look again

there are two selections there. one is for members to email and the other says" Email me when someone likes or replies to one of my comments"

I don't think either has anything to do with track this discussion.
I have never tested it.
I will now turn off both.
Post a reply to this post and let's see if I get it.

Just posting a reply.

Did you get it?

Both boxes in my profile are unchecked.
It seems to be as I suspected those boxes don't apply to track this discussion.

give it time

it is not an immediate change when you check or uncheck. When I stopped notifications a while back, it took a couple of days for it to stop.

forgot to mention

when I say a while back, it mean a few years back Happy things change and you are right, it may not apply to this forum. even the articles comment section has changed since then so who knows anymore...

Just on the chance

That you posted before I had a chance to untick both boxes try replying again.

Trying again.

any results here?

I got the mail alert.
So it seems the 2 boxes don't apply to track this discussion.
Thanks for the help.

(NT) Then How Do You Receive Emails from CNET Replyers?
- Collapse -
Those 2 boxes

Don't seem to have anything to do with track this discussion and getting a mail alert.

The first box allows one member to mail another member.

The second box I think has to do with mail if you made a comment about some cnet article and perhaps also if someone was to click on this was helpful in some post.

How do you know they are being blocked?
