General discussion

emailing a web site

Apr 3, 2005 8:52AM PDT

I created a website ezine using Front Page. When I email it to subscribers, I want them to open DIRECTLY to the ezine without having to click on a link in the email. That would be similar to tdf.org or frommers.com would work. How can I do that? Thanks for your help.

If using

If using Outlook or Outlook Express, you can either open Internet Explorer and then click on the mail icon and click send page and place your email addresses then like a regular mailing

or

you can copy your code from the web page you want viewed and then

open email(using Outlook Express)

Click view
then choose source edit

click source and remove the source code already there and place your code there. If you do this when you are working offline andf you clear you temp files, the pictures won't appear until the email is opened, making it much smaller to send

Hope this helps

opening emails and landing on the website

Thank you for your answer. I have not yet signed for web hosting but think I will do it through Yahoo. Will your method work with their mail system? BTW, you make it sound so simple, and I have been searching for this answer for two days! Thank you thank you.

It works

It works if you use Outlook Express. It might work with other email programs. I haven't tried it with the other programs.

The important thing is, instead of pulling the images from your computer, you are pulling the images from your website. Remember to copy your code and then go offline. Then clean out your temp files. Then paste your code to the emails and send. Then go online and send them
