email - Send a whole Folder

by mgsoldba / February 29, 2008 5:04 PM PST

I want to send the folder "My Pictures" to a friend. I have there a 100 pictures.
Can I send it by attaching the folder to a mail (1 attachment, not 100 attachments)?
Thank you,

Sending a ZIP file of the folder. See about ZIP files.

if each photo is the usual nearly 1 Mb, 100 photo's are some 100 Mb. And they don't compress well, so after zipping it's still nearly 100 Mb. Most email-providers (both for the sender and the receiver) don't allow such big attachements.

So you need to zip, say, 10 pictures each time and send 10 mails with one (10 Mb) attachment each. That's acceptable?

Thank you very much for your advice. I did not think about the size.
Since I can not send a big file by email, I will upload the zipped file to, where they allocate 1G storage, free of payment.
Then it can be downloaded to another disk.
It is even better than to fill the mail box with big attachments.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
