Email Questions

Google hosts email for my website and I get all the "garbage" email that is sent to an invalid email address at my domain (such as an email sent to abc@mysite.com and this is an invalid address). Question - where is all this junk coming from and how do I stop it?

Second question - has anyone figured out the attack vector for people that have a Yahoo or Yahoo-provided email address? I thought this may be via a simple password, but I have a real simple password and have never been spoofed. Any ideas? I manage a Yahoo Group and this is becoming a real problem.
