Did you try deleting the message on the webserver first?

Assuming it's in your inbox, what happens if you create a new folder in Outlook Express, then move (drag and drop) this mail to that folder, then delete the folder again.

With OE closed:

Searching for a file called "folders.dbx" and rename it "folders.old", no quotes.

Restart OE and delete the persistent message.

Upon restart OE will create a new FOLDERS.DBX file.

Note however that FOLDERS.DBX keeps track of your active newsgroup subscriptions, so that information is lost when you rename it.

If needed, delete the new FOLDERS.DBX that OE created and put the old one back.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
