General discussion

email confusion

Oct 12, 2006 12:31AM PDT

Recently had to reinstall WinXP and everything else including Firefox and Thunderbird. However, the stays in thunderbird and won't show in browser or bellsouth home page. Went to Add/Remove and attempted to make thunderbird default email. The little program starts and runs--=forever. Doesn't work. Who do I notify?

A fresh install can have so much missing such as motherboard and more drivers as well as all those patches.

Go figure when this will get better.

To install all the patches and such. But since you have none I think you just found a possible cause.

Windows update installed sp and all other patches. I'm up to date. Went to windows xp who referred me to HP the installer, who told me to do all I've done, but couldn't seem to understand the one thing that says it is not working. That is the little application that makes thunderbird the default .

It is changed. The one thing I discovered that made a difference was somewhere it asked which profile and I had two. When I changed profiles it went to a different looking mail box.
