Email address

I've noticed in newsgroups that some users add an extra character to their email address, with a footnote to remove that character when replying - I guess it's an anti-spam measure. How would I set this up using OE and Win 98 2 ed?

Open OE, click Tools, Accounts. Click Properties on your account. On the first screen, note the "Email address" field. You can put anything here you want, it will not affect the OE operation. Putting anything there just shows up to the receiver. You can put your name, or nothing, or whatever. Most people put their valid email address for friends. To be anonymous, use anything.

Besides the odd entry, try this one...

web@usdoj.gov

Let the harvesters email that one!
