Web based email such as Yahoo or Hotmail don't support the mailto: tag on web pages.

Do you have yahoo mail set as your mail program ? It gets set by clicking tools in your toolbar and then selecting internet options and then the programs tab and then email.
It will take you to your yahoo mail account when you click on an email address in a web page. You must first have the yahoo mail account.
