Eliminate un-closable popup banners on CNET pages

Aug 1, 2012 3:01AM PDT

PLEASE eliminate the new un-closable popup banners on CNET webpages. They are so infuriating I'm going to stop using CNET until they are gone. I can tolerate banners that are closable, but not intrusive ones that stay up and block page material. Thank you.

Hmmm can you give me an example...

of what ad was not closeable? If there is a pop-up ad on CNET it should have a close button to stop it.

If you can remember what ad it was, I will report it to our ad team. This is disruptive and quite annoying if you can close it.

Any details is appreciated!

Someone else made another similar complaint about this...

Was this banner ad at the top of the CNET page or at the bottom? And do you know which ad it was for?

Please let me know.

Thanks!

cnet popups

I have been getting popups in the newsletters that I cannot close even though it has an "X" in the upper right corner. I have a picture of it but I don't know how to attach it. Bob
