Question

Electronicheckbook.com

I've used this website for approximately 10 months or longer w/great success. I have lost my original password and am unable to retrieve it so I'm able to access the account I opened and that has all of my data. I've tried to find a way to contact this site to see if they might be able to help me relocate my account but all I give me is a new user-name and temp password. Can you offer any advice or help in contacting ECB.com? They have everything of mine and I'm unable to get it back.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: password

The site electronicheckbook.com doesn't exist.

However, if you happen to mean electriccheckbook.com their https://electriccheckbook.com/login has a "I lost my password. Email me" link. Doesn't that work?

Where's your backup?

Electronicheckbook.com

Appreciate you're taking the time to reply. However, I have to take exception with your comment that "electronicheckbook.com" doesn't exist. It does. What doesn't exist is "electroniccheckbook.com." Please check it out. I sure did all day yesterday trying to find an answer prior to asking for help from you tech savvy guys who I'm sure find these kind of questions tiresome. As I stated in my email, yes I tried the lost password option. And again I say that the only thing that gives me is a new user name and new password.....thus giving me a new account. Definitely not what I'm looking for since it has none of my original data.
Kees_B I agree with with your observation about my not backing up. Another novice mistake. I apologize.
Again, ANY new & constructive help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: site

I copy/pasted the sitename from your post into the address bar of my browser and it wasn't found. So, for me, it doesn't exist. And with sites that don't exist we can't help.

For the site you use (whatever it's called), if it doesn't have any contact info apart from a non-working 'password forgotten' link (did you check the whole site?), try to find the owner via whois or via a google search.

I wonder why anybody would give personal data to any free and unknown site without at least contact info and a customer service. It's not unlikely they earn money with your personal data, is it?

It's not a web site here either.

ElectronicCheckbook.com (capitals don't matter) doesn't work here either. My bet is the owner let it lapse or folded. This is common for free sites as they never get enough funding to continue.

I took this one step further at the wayback machine.
https://web.archive.org/web/*/ElectronicCheckbook.com finds it did exist at one time.
