For decades we used the phone when needed. Today we use the phones still and the network when we need to send some code or file over.
That blog is out of touch with the workplaces I've worked in. I see they are trying to sell us on something but fall short.
I recently read this report on real-time messaging and it has left me with a lot of questions.
Do you use Slack or any kind of real-time messaging at your company? If so, what do you use? What have you seen as the effects of using it?
I like the convenience factor but also don't want it to be essentially in-house social media. Any advice on managing this?
