Edwards Admits Sexual Affair; Lied as Presidential Candidate

When the National Enquirer first reported the alleged Edwards-Hunter affair last October 11, Edwards, his campaign staff and Hunter vociferously denounced the report.

"The story is false, it's completely untrue, it's ridiculous," Edwards told reporters then.

He repeated his denials just two weeks ago.

Edwards today admitted the National Enquirer was correct when it reported he had visited Hunter at the Beverly Hills Hilton last month.

The former Senator said his wife had not known about the meeting.

Nice!

If he just said "it was ridiculous" he wouldn't have been lying.

Reminds me of Gary Hart more than Bill Clinton. Gary who you say? Yeah, they'll be saying "uh...Edwards?...who?"

that is, lie through their teeth. I have to feel for his cancer stricken wife. Who'd blame her if she filed for divorce and tried to take him and his dirty laundry to the cleaners.

I would have to ask how this will affect the Democratic Convention. What will happen to Edwards' delegates. Will they all go to Obama or will some defect to Hillary, possibly making her the nominee?

Why are the Clintons appearing to highjack the Convention? Surely they KNEW! Is this the dropping of the other show?

Make a great novel/movie.

About "Hush Money"..........
by Mac McMullen / August 8, 2008 10:53 AM PDT

Edwards claims he's never paid anyone anything.

People somehow in his organization have admitted making payments
to the woman, over time.

It's time Edwards was asked if he is aware that payments were made
and further asked who authorized the payments, and from which fund
were the payments made. The amount is of no interest.

Once again, "definition of "IS".

Appears it was a "contributor"...

(sorry, no link yet) who paid her off. Of course the candidate knew NOTHING about it. Nothing.

Some may believe that.

I'd like to see...
by J. Vega / August 9, 2008 3:59 AM PDT

I'd like to see the income tax returns for Hunter and Young (the man said to be the father). Suddenly she moved into a 3 million dollar home in Santa Barbara and he moved into a 4 million dollar home there. What was their income that allowed that? Was that income and its source reported and were the income taxes on it paid?

Edwards is very wealthy and he didn't get that way by being dumb. You can bet every little thing will be in complete order, with every "i" dotted and every "t" crossed properly.

Well, Ed, I dare say that Martha Stewart thought she had everything covered. Sometimes your subordinates can farkle up, but your rear end is the one that eventually gets chewed for it.

That's one reason why

... the vetting for the selection for vice-president takes so long.

If affairs took place over 20 years ago, people probably won't care, so the party can still claim to support "values".

It's just if the affair is more recent they can't overlook it.

Edwards is doubly damned because his wife has cancer. However, Newt is now forgiven though his wife was dying of cancer.

So a time lapse does count.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
