Just kidding! Could this have anything to do with teachers focusing on girls, and schools adopting feminine oriented teaching styles?
As a whole, boys are being eclipsed academically by girls in almost every subject and grade level.
But boys are soaring past the fairer sex in less-appealing categories: dropout rates, discipline problems, special education referrals and alternative school placement.
Add it up and some educators conclude that boys as a group are in trouble ? especially those who live in poverty ? and it's time to do something about it.
Skipping to the bottom, I find this interesting contradiction in the suggestions to help boys succeed:
Draw attention to stereotypes wherever and whenever they are detected.

When a boy wants to connect with you, try to be there for him. Bond with boys through such activities as playing ball.
