Is there a way to edit ones own post or reply?

You can "Preview" your posts before submitting.

I agree with Pete, so I use the Preview Post option to check my posts before submitting.

Thanks guys

I use the preview feature in conjunction with ieSpell. Both help me covey a message but even after that I can go back and sea wear I spelled correctly but still looked dump. Happy

Yep, it happens to me often
May 20, 2008 9:28PM PDT

I take all the precautions I can. I type it out first in Notepad or Word, I Preview, then I submit it.

Only then do I realize the spelling or grammatical mistakes I previously missed.

Of course, I blame Microsoft, my computer, distractions, (low flying aircraft, Alien Invasion, flood/fire/tornado/earthquake, I get all those when I am typing), lack of sleep, and so on, because it is never me. Happy

That's the main reason I became a Mod. I can delete my own posts and start again, Devil

Your Browser doesn't

Wow! How working class

Yep it does.

But it's American spelling.

I prefer correct spelling, Happy

Which browser?
May 22, 2008 7:24AM PDT

If that's Firefox, you can click here to download your old-world dictionary, then right-click a spell-checkable field and choose the English/United Kingdom option. I don't know why you'd ever want to intentionally spell words incorrectly, but I guess it would be easier to play Scrabble with all them Us strewn about. Happy

One UK Civil Servant and one UK "Government Service" could band together and explain why you colonials never bothered to learn how to spell correctly.

I spent 22 years
May 22, 2008 9:45PM PDT

being ferried around the world on a number of Her Majesty's luxury, Grey Funnel Line, vessels.

Reclining in my deck chair, shipping my G & T and watching the sun set over azure blue ocean. No, wait, for a movement there I was dreaming of being a Civil Servant!

I've collected all Mark's original posts and made a collage of them as blackmail to make sure he doesn't go spelling words with Us unduly. Seems to work, though, right? Grin

Rick

I have too many pounds. Doctor told me I should lose some weight.

Keep the pounds, they

are worth 2 for 1, almost.
