Nothing appears in the list when i do a search, but it states the amount of items that are found. I think this is a problem to do with either XP or Internet explorer

Please help

It has nothing to do with XP but may be your I.E. 6 has no Java support or you have a pop-up stopper?

Have you tried another browser like Mozilla?

I made all the java settings in the internet properties under "advanced" available, but i recently installed ad-aware. Would this have anything to do with it?

I have not tried to view ebay on my pc through any other browsers

Not likely.

Ad-Aware does not affect my I.E. 6 and Ebay's pages load without any problems.

Try the following and see if it'll solve this problem:

First try System File Checker:
Start | Run: SFC /SCANNOW
Insert the XP CD in the drive.

OR

Fix for Explorer:

1. Quit all programs that are running.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type: regsvr32 urlmon.dll,
4. Click OK.
When you receive the 'DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded' message, click OK.

If this does not resolve the problem, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of the following files
(in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with each of the file names below):
Shdocvw.dll
Msjava.dll
Actxprxy.dll
Oleaut32.dll
Mshtml.dll
Browseui.dll
Shell32.dll (Windows XP and Windows 2000 only)

Don't forget to leave a space between 'regsvr32' and the .dll,
and don't forget to click OK

Thanks for the help

I tried the second method you suggested for fixing explorer and it still is the same, no list appears. I would try the first method but i currently can't find the XP cd.

I tried installing the new version of IE sp2, but this didn't install properly
