EB games...rude

Dec 10, 2006 4:12AM PST

Like many people, I have called around, and driven around looking for a store that had a Nintendo Wii. Both Toy's R US and BB at least had a staff that were informed of the next shipment date.
I thought with so many EB games locations out there, I would try calling a few of them.
They certainly are not interested in my business.
Although they all seem to follow a script when answering the phone, the moment I asked about the Wii I was given the answer I expected, none in stock, but in many cases it was just a simple no, when asked about future delivery's everyone except 2 basically just said "don't know". Other than the 2 that seemed to understand dealing with customers on the phone, not one said "I am sorry we are all out at the moment" or any kind of sentiment like that, even a "sorry head office is not providing us with any information" would have at least made it apparent that it isn't worth asking the question on the next calls.
I realise 100's of calls per day could be coming in asking about Wii or PS3 players, but consumers are frustrated too. Most of us have to work, so being able to stand outside BB before it opens, just in the hope that you can get one of 20 that will be available isn't an option.

Anyone know of delivery schedules for southern Ontario I would love to know too.

My quest continues...

The thing is, I work with rude people all day, and I get very irratated, so imagine you are in my footsteps, and you answer the phone... yeah then you would change your mind big time.

Actually the most rude place was gamestop. I mean those people behind the counter can grab those consoles off the shelf before we can so its not fair for them to be ******** while we run around searching for the damn things.I came to a gamestop to try and scrounge around for a wii. I went outside and saw a fed ex truck coming so I figured I'd ask him if he knew it was a shipment of wiis. He said no but to check back at the store because they would probably have some there and I did and they bluntly said no. THEN I said well the fed ex guy SAID you might have some so thats why I came. Then they said "Please dont bother the fed ex guys in a really assinine tone after she rolled her eyes. I told her to f*ck off because she probably already stole 6 from the inventory. Then she stared at me blankly because I must have been right. Uggh its such a pain in the butt. I bet you 50% of the stock in my state has been sucked up by employees. Yeah I know they work there, but then maybe nintendo should ship more or they should order more and make sure there are enough for the employees because they will just abuse their priveledges and keep on taking more to sell on ebay. Its ridiculous. 1 per customer my ***.
