EAX hates BioShock

Hola, I'm using a Soundblaster Audigy SE with the latest drivers, and software. When I try to play BioShock the sound comes out all stuttered and staticy. So I experimented with it a bit and found that if I turn off EAX and Reverb (in the game) the problem is gone. Only thing is when BioSHock was in 1.0 using EAX worked fine, now that I'm in 1.1 what is the problem?
