Easy inexpensive MP3 player compatible with MAC

Apr 28, 2008 1:37PM PDT

I'm a middle-aged mama FINALLY venturing into
the MP3 world - 17 yr old daughter has had Ipod and now
Zune so I'm getting intrigued. We're going to Europe
this summer and thought it might be nice to
have some stuff to listen to.
I don't want to spend a big wad, maybe $100 or so
and need to download from my Mac.
Thanks for the help!

What about your daughter's?

Here's a thought - appropriate your daughter's iPod. If she's moved to a Zune, it could just be sitting around. If not, I'd think a new 2gb Shuffle at $69 (+/- 500 songs) or an entry level 4 gb Nano at $149 (1,000 songs) would fit the bill just right.

going with a Nano

Yeah, I think I'll just get a Nano -
daughter was actually going to get me
one for Mother's Day but I told her to save
her money for college and the best gift would
be for her to download songs for me!!
Thanks!
