I'm not sure that I'd classify any of these folks as major actors, though they're known to fans of particular shows. I watch a decent amound of movies, and I've never heard of any of these people other than Billy Dee Williams (and only because of Star Wars) and Michael Ironside.
Even still, it's interesting to see that a game company is getting real actors for a game... though it -is- EA, which would be the company that could afford it. After all, they're making tons off of selling games AND in-game advertising via spyware included with them.
Dear Buzz Out Loud Gang,
Electronic Arts is pulling out the big guns with a star studded list of actors in their new release of "Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars" which is to debut in possibly late 2006 or early 2007.
The cast includes the following:
Josh Holloway - from "LOST" and "CSI"
Michael Ironside - from "Top Gun" and "Starship Troopers"
Billy Dee Williams - from "Empire Strikes Back/Return of the Jedi" and "Batman"
Grace Park - from (Battlestar Galactica) and "L.A. Law: The Movie"
Tricia Helfer - from "Battlestar Galactica"
Ivana Bozilovic - from "Wedding Crashers" and "Van Wilder"
Shauntay Hinton - "Miss USA 2002" and from "Criminal Minds"
John Huck - "Newscaster & Reporter" from "Fox News"
Shanon Cook - Freelance "Newscaster & Reporter" - from "CNN"
and popular game and film actor: Joe Kucan - from "Command and Conquer" game series and "Dune 2000" and "Blade Runner"
Opinion: Let's just hope they put as much money into the game as they did with these stars...otherwise it will not sell well.
That is my opinion....what's yours?
