E17 will not boot from Pclos-kde-2010

by Ray_moe / August 12, 2010 7:08 AM PDT

Installed distro is Pclos-kde-2010

Install E17 and task-enlightenment from synaptic software manager

When I reboot and select E17 session I get redirected to another login panel

It boots when Kde is selected.

How do I activate E17?

Have already burn't an ISO of the PCLinuxOS+E17 and trying it as live cd.

Found that compiz-fusion is not compatible with E17.

Uninstalled compiz and now able to login into PCLinuxOS-kde-2010.

Thanks for the reply

I missed that you already had installed a 3D accelerated desktop. But it's nice to read what it was so that others can avoid the potholes.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
