Resolved Question

E-System 3090 uk Laptop

Feb 24, 2012 2:30AM PST

Hi Guys I need to remove the keyboard from this laptop so I can add additional ram, but not sure on the proper procedure. There is one screw on the rear marked k/b assuming means keyboard, but not exactly sure where or how to pry it open, and dont want to force it and distroy the laptop. Any help? or could you even point me in the direction where I can find some documation on this I,ve found it difficult finding anything regarding E-Systems/Manufacturer.

Many Thanks

Bob thanks for your quick responce and very useful links (now booked marked) but I didnt find what I need, most likely I will need to visit the manufacturer's web site for the manual, but thats easier said than done to be homest.

I discovered that the E-System laptops were specialy made for Dixons/PC World but don't know by whom and even after a few hours Googling still drawing a blank. Can anyone help? Manufacturer's wib site or online Manual please!

I did a quick search too.

And did not find any exact diagrams. This would not stop me as after too many hundred laptops through the shop, the keyboard replacement steps seem too similar.

And that's my answer. Let a shop change it if you don't want to try.

Again thanks for your time and help! I have discovered that E-Systems are part of the Ei-systems now and trying to find the manuals is still an issue.

I spoke to a friend who is a Comptia A+ guy who opened it in minutes and replaced the ram successfully. Steps taken were to remove the single keyboard screw ( K/B) from the bottom of the laptop and the keyboard its self had to be pried from the top down to release the retaining lugs at the bottom.

Once again many thanks!
