e-mail notification

since doing a system restore i no longer have e-mail sound notifications though i have sound when i play a video. any suggestions

Step 1

got issue resolved, sort of. spent over 2hrs on the phone today with hp support. went through every sound senario you can think of and ended up doing a workaround using yahoo messenger. but, thank you for you response, larry
