E-Mail not displaying images

I keep getting a problem with my e-mail not displaying images, instead all that can be seen is random letters which i dont believe to mean anything. Below is a small portion of some so that you can understand what am talking about.

Hotmail can be accessed by any number of email clients, web browsers on a few operating systems. So far all I can offer is that someone sent you a bum email.
